Work With Us

01

The Standard

Nomadic Road is a small house doing difficult things in remote places. We make motoring expeditions into the planet’s farthest corners, and the team behind them is smaller than the convoys we run.

The work is demanding.

The standard is unreasonable.

The office is wherever the road runs out.

We wrote that as a warning.

If you’ve arrived here, it worked as an invitation.

02

What the Work Is

Months of design for every week of expedition. Logistics that move machines, camps, and crews across borders. Hours of conversations with potential explorers to compose the right cohort, because who’s in the convoy matters as much as where it goes. And the long, deliberate work of deciding how a client should feel at every touchpoint: from the first email to the morning the convoy rolls, and every day on the ground between.

Some of us are in the field. Many of us never are. The conversations that compose the group, the storytelling that finds them, the logistics that clear the road ahead. That’s the expedition too, done from a desk.

This isn’t adventure employment. It’s the discipline that makes adventure possible.

Who Thrives Here

No one at Nomadic Road does one job. The team is small, spread across continents, and allergic to hand-holding.

If you need structure handed to you, this will frustrate you.

If you build your own, you’ll fit.

04

Open Roles

When we hire, it’s usually in one of these lanes:

01

Expedition Leadership

People who can hold a convoy, a crew, and a country in their head at once.

02

Storytelling

Filmmakers, photographers, story writers, and content editors who can live the route, not visit it, and hold the editorial standard when they’re home.

03

Operations & Logistics

The ones who make machines, borders, and impossible schedules behave.

04

Marketing & Communications

The desks that carry a brand this deliberate to the people it’s meant for, including specialists who can speak it natively, channel by channel.

05

Client Experience

The people who design how an explorer feels at every touchpoint, from first reply to final campfire.

06

The Field

And for the field: mechanics, medics, drivers, fixers. If the frontier is your working environment, we keep a shortlist.

07

The Apprenticeship

Internships across the desks above, for people early enough to be shaped and serious enough to matter. Terms stated plainly, per opening.

What It Gives Back

Work that ends in a convoy driving into country few people will ever see, whether you’re in it, or watching it move from your desk.

A team small enough that what you make is visible, including to you. And a house that does rare things, carefully.

06

The Application

No forms. No portals. One email, whatever the role.

Tell us what you’d make better at Nomadic Road. Concretely, in your own voice. Write it yourself.

We can tell when a machine did: the templated openers, the borrowed enthusiasm, the corporate phrasing. Those don’t get replies.

This job needs a person who still thinks and talks like one. The email is your first proof.

What Happens After

Your email is read by a person. If it lands, you’ll hear from us: a conversation, not a process. From there we work it out together: sometimes a trial project, sometimes a role, sometimes a place on the field shortlist.

If you don’t hear back, the answer was no, respectfully, and without the automated let-down letter.
